Overall Satisfaction with Alteryx Analytics

Hard to pin down as a single use case since this can be so broad. Alteryx is used in almost any analytics capacity to figure out financials and operations problems. More specifically we found Alteryx useful for connecting vendor metrics with underlying date; we're using buyer spend over time as an enhancement for material and payables resource planning, and our logistics team uses it to track the efficiency of carriers and shipping lanes.
  • Objective analysis
  • Process build
  • Data integration
  • Faster speed of query
  • More complex join capability. Some more experienced users would like to make more complex joins after the data is in process map rather than a complete preparation before including in process map
  • Connection with Power BI, Tableu, or other graphical data tools would make more seamless intelligence
It has much more data connections and flexibility but writing queries manually is typically more flexible. It stacks up very high. Good data, Alteryx and Tableau, and a user can be prepared for an impromptu meeting and make a big impact. I haven't used anything like Alteryx for a direct comparison since they have a pretty unique piece of the market.
Merging data is easiest among any platform I’ve used. The data sources available is broad and I understand Alteryx is constantly adding to the sources of data used by their customers. I particularly like the ability to schedule reports out of Alteryx. This makes it valuable as tool to do research and ad hoc analysis but also reduce the time spent actually running and delivering reports pre-built
It’s easy to give licenses and work amongst teams. Once a report is created it can be shared with colleagues who might want to use the processes built but add more relevant parameters to the data. An example might be a GL report ran by finance but procurement could use the same report and limit to PPV for their own analysis of a unique cost
Operations, business intelligence, Supplier performance, logistics, production bottlenecks. Essentially any case where information across departments is needed, we really see Alteryx being the go-to for objective dialogues. Previously, these departments were having subjective narratives on how to solve business problems, because the data was too difficult to connect and makes sense of. With Alteryx, the focus is on "What does the data show that are good options to change a business process?"
