Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use RDS/Amazon Aurora for some of our legacy databases that we need to retain for governmental reporting on a low frequency basis.

Pros and Cons

Scalability
Enable and disable database as needed
Database administration

Training and examples for vairoud use cases

Return on Investment

ROI - allows to shut off database when data is not needed.
Database administration is a lot more efficient. No longer need a DBA to perform basic actions.

Reliability and Availability

database uptime is excellent. For our use case, we have not had unexpected outages!

Alternatives Considered

Azure SQL Database and MongoDB

Just about the same. We use Azure SQL for some of our larger projects.
