Overall Satisfaction with Amazon Relational Database Service

The project required many small instances across different regions and departments of our organization.
  • scalable
  • automated backups
  • managed services
  • additional price for managed services
  • not flexible pricing model based on storage and CPU
  • very basic monitoring metrics
  • positive - time to market
  • negative - the bigger scale of installation
  • positive - SLA on proper level
In terms of zone availability, Amazon Relational Database Service has the highest number of POP. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure products could not present database services in German or London AZ area. The price of Amazon Relational Database Service is considerably low in comparison to Azure.
Documentation and the community are sufficient to deal with many small instances (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
