Overall Satisfaction with Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS)
I use Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS) to make it easier to set up, operate, and scale a relational database in the AWS Cloud. It provides cost-efficient, resizable capacity for an industry-standard relational database and manages common database administration tasks. I've really enjoyed this product so far and would recommend it to others for a variety of reasons.
- Ease of use.
- Quick deployment.
- Customer service.
- Better UI for smaller companies.
- Scaled-down pricing for smaller operations.
- Time to value.
- Reduction in manual tasks.
- (EOL) Cisco Cloudcenter
Both are really solid options but I think Amazon often times offers an easier solution for the smaller business owner vs a Cisco platform that is much more geared towards an enterprise business. This is the biggest difference that I would say that gives Amazon the edge here. Would definitely recommend it.
