Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Apollo.io for lead generation, email marketing, and task tracking in my voiceover business. It greatly assists with sourcing leads in the proper roles and companies to target, and automating email sequences to market directly to them. I use Apollo.io to market to approximately 100 new people a day.

The UX could be better - it's not super intuitive
I wish it would search name variations. Like if I search "Steve Smith" I want it to also return "Steven Smith" as a result
Perhaps a discounted pricing tier for smaller operations such as myself.

Return on Investment

Increased outbound volume, resulting in being rostered with multiple new companies per week
Increased booked revenue - it paid for itself 5-fold within the first 3 months
Increased productivity in networking

Efficiency

It has greatly scaled and streamlined my marketing efforts. I'm still probably more hands-on than I need to be on a day to day basis, but even still I'm increasing touches with prospects probably by 10x from what I was doing beforehand without Apollo.io. It's definitely helped me expand my network substantially.

Time Savings

Too soon to tell on this one. Right now it's adding MORE work to my day - understandable because I'm focusing more on marketing now - and my sample size, while encouraging, isn't large enough to say if or how much I'll be able to step back my own time and involvement in marketing myself.

Usability

For one, it's highly over-powered for my personal needs, which is not a knock on the product, but does make it a little daunting. But the user interface is not super intuitive. As one colleague put it, it was clearly designed by/for engineers, not for "regular people." A number of settings and features are not where I'd expect to find them. Or changes are hard to make because the settings necessary don't jump out at you as what you need, based on how settings are described.

Likelihood to Recommend

I think it's a great tool for anyone trying to scale their business, even a solo operation. I only have so much time in the day to audition and market, and in a saturated marketplace, making connections at scale is a necessity for growing my business. I wouldn't recommend it for people who aren't at all tech savvy.
