Overall Satisfaction with Autodesk Construction Cloud

Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) hosts documents and files in a centralized location, allowing users from different locations and companies to access the critical project files.

Pros

  • Cloud hosting for multiple users
  • Centralized location for documents
  • Permissions management for different types of users

Cons

  • The cloud reliability is not as high as it could be
  • Permissions are confusing to set up for the average user, often takes multiple days of back and forth just to get correct access for a new user.
  • Sheet viewer is very slow compared to alternatives
  • Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) allows multiple users to collaborate faster, when all is set up properly
  • The reliability of the site is not great, ACC going down is unfortunately not uncommon. Our files and workflows are often times too dependent on it so we are at a stand still until it comes back online.
It is better than some platforms out there, but some significant issues hold it back. Reliability is not good, user setup is not intuitive, and the sheet viewer itself is very slow to load and change pages.

Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) is great as a platform to get all users to a centralized location. The platform from a technical perspective could be better to use. Permissions are the biggest thing that slow us down, the majority of the time the manager of the site does not fully understand how to set up permissions and we end up going back and forth over the course of days just to add users.
