That network switch is so old, it's IP address was 1!
Overall Satisfaction with Auvik
I really enjoy using Auvik to see all the network elements on a particular network and being able to console them remotely. When chasing down a device by MAC or making some config changes, it's great to do so from my own desk at all clients, anytime. Alerts for devices offline and even some custom OIDs really have proven handy. And although not often, the config backup function saved us some time on a couple of occasions. I try to get our less-network-savvy colleagues to use it more and more as it is a good visual reference as well. Can I live without Auvik? Yes. Would I? No lol.
Pros
- Easily filter devices on a network map for identification.
- Alerts for offline devices.
- Monitor and manage from anywhere, any time.
- Support options and prompt responses!
Cons
- Feature request platform needs more management, I see lots of duplicates.
- Pressing enter after typing my password should move to the 2FA screen, seems like an easy fix but still not.
- Deploy on an RPi! Making sub-100$ Auvik appliances would be great instead of relying on workstations or containers.
- Alerting
- Configuration backups.
- Network mapping.
- Remote access/console.
- Saving time to get information from network.
- Accessing devices remotely, instantly.
