Overall Satisfaction with Avanan
Avanan is being used across our entire company primarily to combat phishing attempts via email. We do also leverage it for spam detection/prevention, malware protection in OneDrive/Teams/Sharepoint, and control over our email flow
- UI is simple and easy to navigate.
- Rapid support
- Intuitive workflows
- Avanan updates its product often, which is appreciated, but many of the changes are poorly documented at first. it's sometimes caused hiccups when allowing their latest changes to be applied to our account right away.
- Anti-phishing
- Automated, hands off/no daily action required
- Customizable workflows for different user needs (i.e. higher level of security for C-level employees, more relaxed security for developers, etc.).
- We've seen a few very convincing phishing campaigns blocked by Avanan. It's impossible to tell how many users would have fallen for them otherwise, but I'm sure Avanan has prevented several major incidents in the 2 years we've been using it.
Avanan's major leg up against its competitors in our decision was how easy the product is to manage. Other POCs/trials took days to set up and required daily activity, while Avanan was spun up and configured in hours and required no daily hands-on activity from us.
