when all the info is there, and up to date, it's a central point of retrieving the info, summarized into one file. sometimes, based on org structure, source comes from payroll first (via calculations and benefits provider monthly statements), and other times comes from HR first.
In some decisions, a higher manager needs to approve first, then payroll. I feel like "if statements" should apply because while one process might feel like having the same route, one minor detail could knock the sequence out of typical order.
