Overall Satisfaction with BambooHR®

We use BambooHR as our Employee information system. We track time off and timekeeping and use it for recruitment and hiring, offer and recommitment letters, safe document storage, performance management, and offboarding. So many things! It's super helpful that this is all in one place and that employees themselves can see what we want them to see or not. I like the granular control admins have.

Pros

  • Timesheets & time off.
  • Reports
  • Customization
  • Customer service - chat.

Cons

  • How timesheets are approved - it's hard to look at individual timesheets while approving them when you have a lot of supervisees.
  • Would love to be able to have tasks and task lists that I could assign to an employee outside of onboarding or offboarding.
  • Wish that more reports could be run by employee name, not just by job title, dept, etc.
  • Improved applicant tracking immensely.
  • Less time looking for employee information, data, building reports.
  • Improved and centralized (but also customized) performance reviews.
It is a user-friendly interface, and the customer support chat is super helpful. It is also available when I need extra help or clarification.
The combination of chat and email functions makes it easy for me to get the help I need when I need it. Issues are resolved quickly, and Bamboo support can almost always help me with what I need now.
Reports are so easy to pull that we look at more data more often.

Bamboo is flexible enough that I would recommend it to small, medium, and large organizations. I like that there are different modules you can add to customize further. For example, since we use a PEO, we do not need the payroll function, but we love Bamboo for timesheets and time tracking!
