Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Working at a freight company means that things are always moving, literally. It's a logistical nightmare for HR if you're not organized. We use BambooHR to streamline driver specific compliance and data, onboarding dispersed teams and time tracking hourly staff.

Pros and Cons

Pros

It pulls everything into one place for a smooth unified experience
the mobile app is brilliant
we adopted fast enough thanks to the intuitive UI

Cons

connecting to our existing, somewhat bespoke UK payroll software was kind of a pain

Return on Investment

being a freight company, our biggest roi is the reduced compliance risks. An outdated driver's paper work could be costly to us
it saves me a lot of hours per week in pure admin work

Usability

There's a 9/10 experience from the mobile app and employee self service but the clunky workflow configs pulls that down to a 7

BambooHR Reporting

for me I feel the reporting module is limited. I often find myself having to run 2 or more separate reports then combine them in excel

Likelihood to Recommend

In my opinion, BambooHR excels in centralizing paper forms, spreadsheets and that kind of stuff into one nice hub that's easy to use. You however have to trade carefully around the non-core features as add-ons, most times their cost isn't justified.

Great tool but with a couple tradeoffs
