Overall Satisfaction with BDRSuite

The suite web interface is very easy and logical to use and configure. The menu system and items make logical sense. It is also nice being able to configure multiple items or products from within one console, like licensing, storage, email notifications, recovery options, and obviously back and retention items.
We use the Vembu BDRSuite for Office 365, Google Workspace, local Hyper V, local file and folder backups, and offsite replication. Recovery is very robust with several options. The product offerings are very affordable. We have been a customer of Vembu for over 15 years and have been extremely happy. The customer support and technical support are reliable and quick.
  • Stabile Product
  • Good pricing structure
  • Good communication
  • Great technical support
  • Would like more technical support documents
  • More explanations of fixes applied
  • Easier installation documentation
  • We spend less time checking the status of backups with notifications
  • The ability to test live data for restores save time
  • 5-year licensing saves money with the discounting
Obviously, the most important thing to consider is the ability to recover data, systems, or applications. Response time for communication with sales and technical support in case of emergency is also a top point. Cost will always be an important point with both small and large infrastructures. The product is very easy to use.
We have been able to utilize several of the suite offerings. The virtual backup solution is very robust, quick, and stable. multiple recovery options exist and are very easy to use. The client for physical devices is also very easy to configure and use. The cloud copy feature is a must-have.
Originally clear back to the earlier days when they had a product called Storegrid I had researched many other companies that had similar offerings. R backup, Carbonite, Acronis, and Nova backup but they all seemed less sophisticated. Symantec had a good local-only solution as well. Veeam was the other main choice, but the cost was much higher.

Do you think BDRSuite delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with BDRSuite's feature set?

Yes

Did BDRSuite live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of BDRSuite go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy BDRSuite again?

Yes

While it is hard to be a catch-all backup solution, I think they do a great job with so many variations of products that really give us peace of mind in case recovery is needed. Most of the diverse products we will never use, but I can see other larger companies having the need.
