Overall Satisfaction with Blackbaud Education Management Solutions

By the entire organization. It's the data management system of our school, the backbone of our data systems.
  • Easy to use, simple and clear interface.
  • Logic and data flow designed to suit needs of educational institutes.
  • User-friendly interface and functions for administrators and developers.
  • Some features in the system are outdated and difficult to navigate.
  • Poor integration with certain reporting system required by the ministry.
  • The learning management part is not considered to the ideal one by our school.
  • Improves overall workflow at the school.
  • Parents and students found it easy to use and happy with it.
Great support team, very responsive and great solution overall.
Good for independent schools in the US, probably not so good in Canada due to lacking reporting support.

Using Blackbaud Education Management Solutions

teachers and non-teaching staff, basically every single department and every employee
it is difficult to define "support".
I'm the general manager of supporting this tool while many other non-teaching staff from various departments work with me to resolve issues and assist users.
  • our consultant developed some customized system based on BBEMS API to achieve other functions of the school like parent teacher interview scheduling etc.
  • we used custom fields to store certain attributes of our students which are our unique requirements
  • student academic performance records
  • attendance and other discipline records
  • student/parent biographical and contact information
  • course request and scheduling
