Overall Satisfaction with BlackLine

BlackLine is great for modernizing an accounting department. We use it to standardize our processes and have greater visibility into when reconciliations are completed and reviewed. It also is great for tracking journal entries, and other monthly tasks many accountants have. As BlackLine continues to grow, they offer new and exciting products.

BlackLine has a straightforward user interface for preparers and approvers/reviewers. However, the back end of things can be clumsy or not intuitive. This is a minor issue however, and once everything is set up, it requires very little maintenance to make sure it appears how you need it to going forward.
I have not had to use BlackLine support much during my time. But also that means I haven't had too many issues requiring support, so that is a good thing. When problems have appeared, there were pretty quick fixes. Never had a game-breaking issue with any of the products or services.
BlackLine is great for modernization. You can update many slow metrics, or paper binders, which allows ease of access between many different functional groups and even auditors. This is great as it eliminates long email chains; you can just log into BlackLine and have access to the needed data for yourself.
