Overall Satisfaction with BlackLine

We use BlackLine as our account reconciliation solution. It has saved time and allowed us to evaluate and improve our processes. In the time we have saved we have been able to spend more time on analysis and understanding what the numbers mean. It adds additional controls to our reconciliation that our previous Excel based system.

Pros

  • They are invested in the success of the implementation of the software solution.
  • Their support of the process had been amazing.
  • The community of customers has been helpful. We learn from each other.

Cons

  • The Sandbox (test environment) can be a little difficult to pull in data.
  • Helped to streamline the reconciliation process.
BlackLine has helped us to evaluate processes that have been in place for some time and find new ways to look at challenges. Going thru the process of implementation has been time consuming but well worth it. BlackLine wants and strives for their customers to have success in implementation and overall success.

For companies that have a large number of reconciliations that take an abundance of time. The matching solution saved a great deal of time so that auto certification was done and reduced the number of reconciliations that need to be prepared. Manual Excel recons will become a thing of the past.
