Overall Satisfaction with Blender

Blender 3D makes it possible for you to perform a wide range of
tasks in one place. When entering the software for the first time, it can be
overwhelming to understand the basic concepts and features. However, with
a bit of motivation and an official tutorial, it is possible to become familiar
with Blender3D after several hours of practice.

The most prominent artists do not create masterpieces by
pressing a magic button or just manipulating brushes. Still, learning and
practicing topics such as composition, lighting, animation principles, etc.,
will make a perfect design. After all, it's a tool, and you have to learn it.

Blender 3D software has additional technical complexity and jargon. Terms
like UV maps, materials, shaders, meshes, and subdivisions are the means of the
digital artist, and understanding them in general terms will help you use
Blender and get the most out of it.

  • It is a totally free and open-source platform. Made for beginner animators.
  • The interactive game features like collision detection, dynamic re-enactments, and logic.
  • Blender accepts graphic formats such as TGA, JPG, IRIS, HDRI, or TIFF. It can also read Inventor files.
  • Integrated 3D game engine with a logic brick system. For more control, Python programming is used.
  • It includes Inverse Kinematics, Grid Strains, Load Vertices, and Static and Dynamic Particles.
  • Tough to learn. Beginners may be overwhelmed by its jargons full of shortcut keys. It has a lot of features to learn.
  • It slows in an AMD processor with 4GB RAM.
  • I can't find more cons about Blender, but new users may [be] confuse[d] due to its tricky layout.
  • Although it is not a particularly easy program to use, it comes standard with various primitive geometric figures, including curves, meshes, voids, and metaballs. This will save a lot of work when working with the program. It also has dynamic simulations for soft bodies, particles, and fluids.
  • Blender has various animation tools, such as inverse kinematics, deformations, load vertices, and static and dynamic particles. It is also designed for game development, so we find collision detection tools and dynamic and logical recreation systems.
  • This software supports the Python programming language. With it, we can automate or control various editing tasks.
  • Blender's interface is very easy to understand, and, furthermore, it is fully customizable. Thus, each user can customize it according to their tastes and needs.
  • As it is a beginner-friendly software with increasing demand in the animation sector again, it positively impacts the business.
  • Except in some specific cases, no one will use Blender on their own at a professional level.
  • When I was a beginner, it took me a lot of time to learn, consequently designing the creation. But if we want to learn to master Blender, we can do it. As long as we have time and a lot of willpower, since, we repeat, it is not a simple program and hides thousands of tools and possibilities.

To date, Maya has been and is the undisputed
leader in the sector. Despite being at such a high price,
there is really no substitute for Maya's quality. Therefore, the use of
Maya is prevalent. If you wanted to enter
the animation market, there is no other option but to learn how
to use Maya professionally.

Blender is open-source (totally free),
while Maya costs around $ 1500 per year (yes, per year). Although it is also
true that Maya has a free license for students. But if you want to do
professional work (charging for it), or have it installed in a company or
studio, then the license has to be paid.

Do you think Blender delivers good value for the price?

Did Blender live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Blender go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Blender again?

Yes

Blender
is one of the best software focused mainly on modeling, lighting control,
rendering, animation, and 3D graphics. This software is completely free and
open-source, and it is more than at the level of other similar alternatives
within the professional field. Some movies such as Coffee
Run (2020), Spring (2019), and movie studios (like Marvel)
have used it to animate and process their films and effects. The only issue is that it slows down the PC sometimes.
