Overall Satisfaction with Blender

For our Livestream service, modeling was used for fill-in effects. Blender, being free, was used to model graphics for this production. We have an Adobe Premier subscription, but I had experience with Blender from a family member who modeled for video game creation. I used animation lightly, but Blender has a full set of tools for graphic designing.
  • Rastor graphics
  • Animation and motion graphics
  • 3-D modelling
  • Texturing
  • It is difficult to tell when I am running out of RAM and thus slowing the rendering.
  • I seem to experience system crashes when running Blender.
  • Blender failing to start in Windows 10.
  • Cost
  • Features
  • Stability
  • The only investment is the hardware. I would have to purchase capable hardware with any solution.
  • I was already familiar and it took a minimal amount of time.
  • With all the features, Blender produced exceptional results for free.
I have to start off but stating the obvious. Blender is full-featured and free. Yes, I repeat, "free." Adobe makes outstanding products but at a high initial cost. Blender does a similarly fantastic job, but for free. Adobe Substance is able to perform all the tasks I need to complete and more. However, Blender performed my functions for free.

Do you think Blender delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Blender's feature set?

Yes

Did Blender live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Blender go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Blender again?

Yes

Modeling and rendering are my main uses. Animation, motion graphics, and 3-D graphics are areas particularly suited for Blender. With any software for modeling and rendering, you must make sure you have a properly spaced computer. I did try using graphic editing in place of Adobe PhotoShop and was unsuccessful.
