Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use it to deliver lectures from professors and faculty to students particularly for large lecture classes that have over 150 students as this is the most stable way to deliver online content live. It can also be used for large-scale webinars and conferences we have had in the past to help deliver content online.

Performance

Many of the time the meeting is slow to load and the audio and visuals cut out particularly if someone has in the audience have a bad connection even though that should not affect the meeting. For the most part, everything runs smoothly apart from some glitches that can cause the feed to glitch up or freeze.

Zoom

BlueJeans was used previously by the organization and therefore had been grandfathered in. It seemed to be more popular among our users, to begin with, but as time has gone on, Zoom seems to be picking up in popularity among the users since it is more widely used. But for the most part, BlueJeans has been quite useful and superior to alternatives.

It is a solid app that has a lot of potential for a large university organization. It is good for professors who need to set up large lectures that do not require too much student input during the lecture. However, there are other apps that combine the functionality of the smaller meetings such as breakout rooms and whiteboard features for example but are stable for large crowds.
