BlueJeans Events in Education
Overall Satisfaction with BlueJeans Events
We used BlueJeans events to host lecture and review sessions. The business problem it addresses is how to keep 200+ students engaged on a daily basis in the era of online learning. We utilized events 3-4 times per week and had 200-250 attendees at a time.
Pros
- Scheduling
- Screen Sharing
- Moderator Tools
- Q&A
- Polls
Cons
- Latency
- Video Quality (sometimes)
- Audio Quality if multiple people are talking or unmuted
- Increased participation from students
- Increased attendance
- Easier engagement from Teaching Assistants
- Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Webex Meetings
Blue Jeans events are typically on par or exceed the competition. Teams and Zoom edge it out slightly in terms of call and audio quality, and Webex is about the same. However, Events beats Teams and Zoom in terms of ability to handle large-scale audience participation and even edges out Webex events in terms of ease of use. Blue Jeans events are also the easiest to use in terms of scheduling.
