Overall Satisfaction with BMC AMI Ops

BMC AI Ops is able to assist with Total cost of ownership with focusing on capacity planning. This is around infrastructure and resource monitoring and consumption. Also we are able to focus on Rightsizing on Virtual Machines. The scope is to help provision the network resources to enable calculations as resiliency models.

Pros

  • Machine Learning Algorithms built in for support
  • Support for multiple environments
  • Focus area on Mainframe intelligence

Cons

  • I would like to see more around DBaaS offerings tied into
  • More documentation with VMWare Examples
  • Powerful solution in looking through different service levels
  • Ability to look through network monitoring
  • IBM focus in a lot of application supported
Very strong offering and with more information that one could hope for. Also BMC is well integrated with the full functionality of its product suite and no shortage of options.
It is only supported on VMWare and less entirely on a solution for traditional capacity planning. There was more of a strain on VMware in terms of cost and comfort level in ramping up with the solution, which was why we selected BMC AMI Ops.

Do you think BMC AMI Ops delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with BMC AMI Ops's feature set?

Yes

Did BMC AMI Ops live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of BMC AMI Ops go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy BMC AMI Ops again?

Yes

Well Suited if there is a desire for out of the box workflows and looking at root cause analysis on the current capacity management layout. Also in looking through on joint development with networking on importing data feeds from Splunk and ZScaler. Less appropriate if one wants to do IaC
