Overall Satisfaction with BMC AMI Ops

I use BMC AMI Ops to bring up our system, monitor started tasks, react to messages. Used for automation.

Pros

  • automation
  • System monitoring

Cons

  • Install procedure can be very time consuming
  • Up time is important so using automation to react to issues is very important
I think that BMC AMI Ops's user interface is easy to navigate
We've had BMC AMI Ops for years. The conversion to total object management from CSM took a while but once installed is easier to use and maintain than CSM was.

I find it hard to correct previous errors with registry entries or values for DBC with BMC AMI Ops, but automation is easy
