Overall Satisfaction with Bonterra Case Management

We use Bonterra Case Management (Apricot) to track services we provide to people impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse. We also assist people with basic needs items and referrals to community partners. Apricot helps us stay organized by having all client information in one place to prevent duplication of services. It also helps us know who we currently have in shelter, who is being assisted by which advocates in our outreach program, and how many presentations we have provided to folks in our service area. We also use Apricot to help us gather information needed to report to grantors and donors who want to see how their money is spent and how many people we are able to help. I used Apricot at my previous job in another victim services organization so stepping into my current role and seeing Apricot made on-boarding super easy.

Cons

  • I'd like to see an "Abuser's Profile" section or something we can link clients to the person who offended against them. Then if we see an abuser having multiple victims, we can work more effectively with local law enforcement and our clients.
  • Across programs, if Apricot could list items given to clients in their services drop down that would help cut time searching.
  • The duplicate warning comes up when there isn't a duplicate, which is confusing.

It has helped us see patterns for high need times of the year. We can then anticipate and plan for what items we need to ask donors for.
We use statistics from Apricot to share with our donors how their funds are impacting lives in our service area.

Looking up services that a client has received previously can help our advocates see patterns where clients struggle. That helps us safety plan with them more effectively or assist with budgeting so they aren't scrambling every year at a certain time for utility or rent payments.
