Overall Satisfaction with Carbonite Safe

Carbonite Safe is deployed in most of our clients' environments. We sell their software as an addon to our IT offerings for those who want it.

Pros

  • reliance
  • automatic backups

Cons

  • update issues
  • price is a bit high
  • great as an addon service for IT offerings
  • looks good for us to have a solution to offer for backups
It's easy and straightforward to download, install, configure, and use overall.
The competitors offer a cloud solution, but in more of a clouded document management way. There is no way to live edit files with Carbonite Safe. Dropbox and OneDrive offer you the ability to open the file and use it from the cloud.

Do you think Carbonite by OpenText delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Carbonite by OpenText's feature set?

Yes

Did Carbonite by OpenText live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Carbonite by OpenText go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Carbonite by OpenText again?

Yes

It's great in almost any environment. It does not work in backing up cloud files, but it is great at backing up photos and documents on the local system. (I could be mistaken, it just hasn't worked in this case for us).
