Overall Satisfaction with CCH® SureTax®

The company uses CCH® SureTax® to look up tax rates using Zip codes so that we can correctly price orders. I support the people that are doing these tax look ups.
  • When the tax rates are available they are normally correct.
  • Support usually updates open cases fairly quickly.
  • The website is not overly complicated.
  • Support has gotten better over the last year.
  • Having to delete a user and recreate them because password reset does not work correctly is bad. As an update, this does sometimes still happen.
  • After contacting support due to some missing tax rates for certain zip codes we were told this was a known problem. The case has been open almost a month. Eventually, they did take care of this issue.
  • This allows our salespeople to look up tax rates across the US, saving them time.
  • CCH also integrates with out ERP system which is very helpful.
We selected CCH® SureTax® because it integrates with the ERP software that we use, we have not evaluated similar products.

Sales Tax rates for most zip codes that we lookup appear to be in the CCH® SureTax® system. I think they have been doing a better job and getting missing tax rates into the system. They still need to work on correcting the user interface so that users can reset their passwords without intervention from the Admin or support.

Using CCH® SureTax®

20 - Sales personnel and accounting personnel.
1 - General administrative function, IT experience helpful.
  • Sales - writing orders adding tax
  • Accounting - confirming tax information
  • Billing - creating invoices for customers
  • The integration with our ERP system is very helpful.
  • I think we are using it to the fullest extent that we can.
Since it is already integrated into our ERP system, it would not make sense to start with a new vendor.
