Overall Satisfaction with Celonis
We were helping to analyze business processes to customer processes and administration processes. The client organization we use Celonis for was interested in analyzing processes running across the whole organization. Celonis is planned to be used in many corporate processes - it would not make a sense to analyze only one or two particular processes. The client just migrated to SAP HANA, so the seamless functioning of new processes is of a primary key concern.
- Provide big picture information and drill down to details, such as actors, cases, documents
- Combine process discovery data with other business, e.g. controlling data
- Great user interface
- Unlike other products such as Minit or Disco, this tool is great at being able to directly enrich the findings with cost or revenue data
- Easy to build and calculate critical process KPIs and demonstrate the findings to management (decision makers)
- It works with SAP HANA. Unfortunately, we did not succeed with connecting it to the older SAP versions
- Working with data models is not easy. The data model has to be 100% correct, otherwise the results bring confusion (either visible or not visible) or the model does not provide any data
- Support for all standard SAP modules
- Using Celonis speeds up the whole company by restructuring projects. It saves time and human work.
- Celonis provides perfect transparency - as well as other process mining tools - but it goes further. It allows us to combine the process KPIs with, for example, cost or revenue data.
- Enables us to make decisions based on real-life numbers.
I have used the process mining software, Minit. Compared to Celonis, Minit does not allow us to enrich process data with other business data, but Minit is a universal process discovery tool. It can be further coupled with PowerBI or similar software for data enrichment. The reporting options and UX are far more advanced in Celonis, but Celonis is purely SAP HANA oriented.
