Overall Satisfaction with Celonis

We implement Celonis at various Companies. It is mostly being used by corporate departments, especially finance and purchasing. Typical problems are automation, changes, [reworking] unwanted variants, or very customized cases. Usually, it is always about reducing time, increasing quality, or optimizing costs/ reducing workload. Mostly the topic of pointing out where a [pinpoint is going] very well, whereas the solving of that problem, the value generation is more critical.
  • Usability for a business user.
  • Selection of subprocesses, filtering and so on with inbuilt functions and components.
  • Version control with publishing in studio.
  • Allowing for cmd + Z. If you delete something it's gone forever or you have to set back to the last published status.
  • Having variables in variables.
  • Defining functions with input and output parameters.
  • Renew APC consumption more often if a limit is reached.
  • Action flows are complicated to set up and can not be copied or tested.
I am implementing Celonis so the sales process is already done. Therefore I cannot really say why my customers decided to go with Celonis instead of any other tools.

Analysis of a process for strategic management is an area where I think it is very well suited. With the help of certain KPIs, drill-downs, and filters it is easy to find pain points and areas of improvement. Regarding automation, I do not think that Celonis is the tool (yet) that it promises to be. The action flows still need a lot of work for [them] to become usable like it is intended to be.
