Overall Satisfaction with Ceridian Dayforce

It's being used for human resources (workflows, recruiting, HCM), payroll processing, and benefits management.

We replaced ADP for more functionality and access to data, as well as for creating workflows to streamline our current form based system of submitting changes from benefits and human resources to the payroll department. This is still under development. Access to employer and employee payroll data and continuous payroll calculations is extremely helpful.
  • Continuous payroll calculations that allow you to enter payroll adjustments and see what the paystub looks like in real time, as well as view updated payroll reports.
  • Ceridian's online support center allows you to submit incidents to pose questions or fix technical issues within the system.
  • Web-based access to process payroll from any internet location.
  • While there is a lot of data available, it is difficult to develop custom reports from an end user perspective without help from Ceridian.
  • Customer support should have dedicated teams that have an in depth understanding for client databases, so that they can more effectively provide support.
  • Navigating around the system is not always quick. Ceridian needs to look at how to make this quicker, regardless of the size or complexity of the database.
  • In the near future when implemented, it will reduce the paper-based system used to set up new hires, process terminations, LOA, etc.
  • The workflows will be automated and require management and HR to submit approvals systematically, reducing separate emails going back and forth between the various departments.
  • Reduction in cost
We have the ability to configure Dayforce in various ways (pay policies, pay class, pay groups, etc.) so that things like healthcare enrollment, PTO eligibility, is based on company rules. We can also automate local tax processing based on employee setup, as well as annual ACA reporting for year-end.
This does not apply to me at my company.
The ability to configure the system as needed.
While my list of Cons talks about speed in navigating around and difficulties associated with developing custom reports, I think there lies an immense potential within Dayforce once these issue are resolved. This is because of the vast amount of data that lies in the system - that needs to be understood and tapped into.
