Overall Satisfaction with Ceridian Dayforce

Dayforce is our all-in-one source for Employee data, employee self-service, payroll, recruiting, and performance. We use Dayforce across the organization. It has helped us transition away from paper in many cases, and we're working on more. We have recently begun integrations with other software our company uses, and are using an API as well.
  • We really like the Dayforce App.
  • The system is very customizable.
  • Updates are done bi-annually
  • Reporting is a bit difficult, but has been getting easier. There is less help available by telephone recently. We are being told more frequently that reporting help is billable.
  • The recruiting module should be more customizable.
  • We no longer have a designated account rep, which is problematic.
  • We use less paper.
  • We've seen faster approvals with electronic workflows.
  • Annual policies are electronically signed
  • Ability to clock time in the system is helpful now.
I know that Dayforce has a strong focus on compliance, but I don't deal with that directly.
It makes it easy to get all the employee data needed for decision making.
I have had limited experience with other vendors, so I'm not a good judge.

Do you think Dayforce delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Dayforce's feature set?

Yes

Did Dayforce live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Dayforce go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Dayforce again?

No

It's great for our hourly staff to track their time, plus with working remotely, they can use the web clock instead of the physical clock. The system works better now that it dos not require Silverlight. That also opened up access to more on the app. I feel that recently, some defects have occurred with system updates. It seems that there are more and more defects after updates.

Using Ceridian Dayforce

1900 - The entire company uses Dayforce.
3 - We have two Analysts and a Manager who support Dayforce. Our Payroll and Benefits team also provide limited support within their span.
  • Recruting
  • Payroll
  • Benefits
  • We are starting to look at Succession
  • The Talent Profiles are interesting
We are relatively happy with Dayforce, but have some pain points around reporting and customer service. Hopefully, this will improve post Covid.

Evaluating Ceridian Dayforce HCM and Competitors

I did not work for the company when we implemented Dayforce.
I cannot compare since I did not originally do the evaluation.

Ceridian Dayforce HCM Implementation

Ceridian Dayforce HCM Support

I feel like they try, but we often have to go through several levels of analysts to get to someone who can help. This can take way too long at times, and can be frustrating.
ProsCons
Problems get solved
Kept well informed
Support cares about my success
Quick Initial Response
Less knowledgeable
Escalation required
Difficult to get immediate help
Need to explain problems multiple times
We do not pay for premium support. I honestly don't even know how much that would cost, but we try to work with the regular level of support.
Yes - We have had several bugs over the years. They are mostly taken care of within a few months, but sometimes take longer. I feel like this happens after updates, or weekly hotfixes.
Most times support is very helpful, but of course, it's easier to remember the problems.

Using Ceridian Dayforce HCM

I feel like it works for us, but we are regularly disappointed in the features not being built out as thoroughly as they could be.
ProsCons
Like to use
Technical support not required
Well integrated
Quick to learn
Unnecessarily complex
  • Employee Self Service
  • TeamRelate
  • Reporting
  • Dashboards
Yes - I really like the Dayforce mobile app. There is a real need to have forms available ion the app, and hopefully it's coming soon. Much more became available when Silverlight went away, but I feel they could ramp up the features.
