Overall Satisfaction with Ceridian Dayforce
We are using Dayforce across our whole organization. The modules that we purchased are recruiting, payroll, comp., benefits, talent and performance management, scheduling and advanced scheduling. Moving to Dayforce has fixed a multitude of problems that we were previously experiencing, the biggest one being a multitude of disjointed systems that didn't communicate with each other. We also had a lot of manual processes in place simply because our systems didn't allow us to automate it. With having everything in place we no longer have to go to multiple systems to find what we were looking for.
Pros
- Understand their customers and listens to feedback when looking at new features.
Cons
- During implementation, it seems like they throw a lot at you at the very beginning and we found that a lot of the times they were putting the cart before the horse.
- Reduced paper and manual processes.
- Increased productivity and efficiency simply by not having to go to multiple different systems to find what we are looking for.
Every compliance issue we could think of was handled with no problem when we moved to Ceridian. Our previous system left us open to a ton of compliance issues and we were often given notices and fees from governmental agencies simply because our previous system didn't do something on their end.
It's priceless. For example, during the hiring process, it took a full 24 hours for a new employee to be hired in our ATS, pushed to our HRIS and then pulled to our LMS. With our biggest company being a convenience store chain, we have a lot of classes and certifications that our employees have to take before they can legally be allowed to work at our store. Because of this, we found that a lot of employees were either working off the clock because they weren't in the HRIS yet or working without the proper training because they weren't able to access those classes in the LMS. Having everything in one system has streamlined our process and helped reduce our company liability.
In our previous system, we had multiple different third-party modules that "integrated" with our HRIS. These file feeds failed 9 times out of 10 and when it did work, there was a delay in information. Because of this, we would oftentimes hand key data from one system to another which left room for human error.
