Overall Satisfaction with Ceridian Dayforce

We are an entrepreneurial business that is streamlining our processes and implementing best practice to push us into the right direction. We have only just started, but we are excited to see what Ceridian can do for our business in the long run. So far we have implemented the Payroll and HCM components and have recently implemented the recruiting module.
  • Mobile Dayforce app for employees reduces the paper paystubs. Employees have the ability to access the schedules and pay in real time on their personal devices.
  • Reduces paper - now that we have implemented the recruiting module, we no longer have paper applications or requisition forms. Everything is controlled and managed online.
  • Processes are further streamlined and managers are held accountable by the system through recruiting, onboarding, schedules.
  • Lifetime hours of employees on paystubs
  • Dollar amounts accrued and days on paystubs
  • A chat function
  • It's still hard to say as we implemented payroll and HCM for just over a year [ago] and still need to tweak the system.
  • Implementation Managers are hit and miss - we've had some junior managers which have posed some challenges.
  • Professional Services have been a challenge as we are a small organization with some complexities and therefore are not provided with the adequate POD i.e. location and experience.
As I said we are still new to Ceridian. We are still implementing modules. Having recently implemented recruiting, it has already reduced paper and duplication of work and data collection. The approval process is more streamlined through the created workflows and the applicant tracking is pretty straightforward and easy to use.
Ceridian is a system that is built for Payroll and HR and makes sense from the perspective of the user. If you are not in the system regularly then you can forget some functionality from a Manager perspective. However, the modules you have the more you will use it.
If the mobile app could be more apt for the on the go manager then it would be incredibly beneficial.
The time and attendance linked to payroll has already reduced duplication. There is less room for error as there is only one system, whereas if you have multiple systems and uploads then is always an delay or issues with the data and then a duplication of work.
The performance management, compensation and development elements are fantastic in how they all integrate. Now we can remove paper and multiple spreadsheets which lead to human error. The more modules you have the more the data you can collect through the HR Metrics module.
