Overall Satisfaction with Chartio

We are a market based advertisement technology company (there are buyers and sellers of ads) which means there is a lot of data flowing through the pipes. Our strategic solutions team is tasked with the maintenance of this network and Chartio is crucial piece of that puzzle. Chartio permits us to quickly visualize our data in a fast way so that we can have a clear understanding of the things that need attention immediately and the things that are running smoothly.
  • Direct linkage to our databases. Abstracts away the visualization layer so we can focus on the data and the queries.
  • Host of graphs and tools that permits all types of data visualizations.
  • Haven't quite used this yet, but there is a new embedding feature that will be very helpful so that we can embed the charts into a company central dash.
  • The date slider is hyper annoying to use
  • When emails get sent as PDF, the formatting gets messed up if it's a graph dense dash.
  • It handles a lot of data, but it'd be great if it could handle and visualize more data.
I haven't used any other products. I've built a few myself using statistical software packages (namely, R) and a few graphing libraries (d3.js).
It has become a core part of the business in terms of identifying the health of our network. If we grow and there are certain things that might not fit well with Chartio (e.g. we'd want to store snapshots of every single day's dash instead of seeing realtime data), it might make sense to move some of the data analysis tool in-house if resources are available.
There are five users of Chartio in the organization. Two are heavy duty users, two are occasional users, and one is a light user. These folks are part of the Engineering team and Business Development teams and have some sort of stake in tracking network activity.
Never has been a problem. Chartio is so frequently used in our org that we can sometimes detect issues with our data sources before internal email alerts are sent out.
We don't really tap into this feature. But report distribution is nice. We're able to email out Chartio summary graphs to all the stakholders so they don't need to log in to get the insights.
If your data is warehoused in a single place and you are seeking to extract meaningful data from it, use Chartio.
