We opted for the Cisco 3504 WLAN Controller solution because of the security offered by the brand, the ease of centralized administration and its functionalities, highlighting the MESH option offered by the product. The advantage of having up to four LAN ports was an improvement that we did not expect in this type of product.

The main reason why our company chose to opt for the Cisco 3504 WLAN Controller was the magnificent quality-price ratio of the product. It is very easy to handle if you have the appropriate technical knowledge and if not, you will always have Cisco technical support supporting you for whatever you need. Once the product is configured, it works stably without intervention and is fully integrated with the company's other Cisco solutions.

Evaluating Cisco 3504 WLAN Controller and Competitors

Yes - We managed to replace the Cisco 3504 WLAN Controller with our old Huawei system. The Huawei system required continuous access to the console to continually parameterize the Solution, which caused us to waste time assigning system technicians for maintenance and management. The change has been highly positive, freeing up resources.

Integration with our existing Cisco infrastructure was one of the most important factors in making the final decision to change. It also allows us to scale in the future everything we need within the Cisco family. The price is not high at all for the professional product that has been purchased.
The ideal thing to be able to compare products from other solutions would be to have demo equipment and put them to work in parallel to be able to draw definitive conclusions about which product is the most suitable for our company. We did something similar with a couple of solutions, but the Cisco 3504 WLAN Controller convinced us by far.
