Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (Cisco ACI)

We use Cisco ACI as a multi-pod version across four data centers. Each data center has two fire protection zones, with half of one pod. We needed layer 2 networking across Germany on these four different locations. We consume networks on HyperFlex Clusters and some other Hardware Servers. Each pod has two spines and four-leaf switches.
  • Layer 2 across all pods
  • Configure many switches with a few clicks
  • Stable data center networking
  • V center plugin missing for HTML5 client
  • Renaming objects is not possible
  • Interaction is a little slow sometimes.
Multi-pods only with Cisco ACI.
Datacenters with multiple pods and or multiple applications with different networks will be well organized with Cisco ACI.
If you need firewall rules on single IP adresses, you will need an extra firewall. Otherwise, ACI would be perfect for zoning applications.

Cisco ACI Reliability

No Single IP filtering
Everything works fine and we consume 40gb on all of our clusters.
