Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Business Edition 4000

The solution is used to provide the telecommunication solution for our internal and external users. We have SIP and T1 trunks for handling our outbound calling volume and least cost routing.

Currently working on expanding the solution to incorporate Avaya softphone for users working remotely via VPN a connection. In addition, we have a reservation department that uses this solution to handle our incoming calls.
  • Call routing
  • Voicemail
  • SIP Trunking
  • Call recording
  • VM To Email
  • Mobility
  • Good ROI
  • Ease of deployment
  • Core functions are stable
  • IBM Cloud Availability Monitoring (deprecated)
The Cisco Business Edition 4000 was primarily selected because it met all the core needs of the because, and the budgetary constraints were handled with solution costing presented by the reseller. In addition, because the tech team had previous experience managing other Cisco Business solutions, the transition was somewhat easier that it would have been for any other new product.
The support once you have been able to actually connect with someone is great. The challenge is that it is very difficult at times to get someone from support at short notice to work with you, especially when you have a production impacting issue. I had a licensing issue that took me about 1 week to get support attention, once connected with them was resolved with two days.

The Cisco Business Edition 4000 is a great product. It does exactly what it was built for, and the hardware components are very solid. The hardware is built with redundancy for the power supplies.

I run my box all year round, and I have no complaints. It works all the time.
Handling high call volume is definitely a functionality that the Cisco Business Edition 4000 is well suited for. The GUI for soft client for the contact center application could take a overhaul to enhance its look and feel.

In addition I would like to see more development with regards to integration with other call handling applications to make the solution more robust.
