I use Cisco Catalyst 9100 Access Points for campus WiFi on all sites (more than 320 Sites). The 9130ax are replacing the old infrastructure based on Ciscos AP 2602, 2702 and 2802.
  • Reliable
  • supporting needed standards

  • old productions HW has issues with connecting, which impacts the production
Overall the APs are very good. Due to the high price and incompatibility issues with older hardware and certain amount of Intel WiFi cards, the points are deducted to 7
Since we are using WLCs there is not issues with scalability
It took more time, since we had to replace also the previous generation of WLCs, since the 9100 series are not compatible with 3504 or 2504 WLCs
Generally, I feel that Cisco Catalyst 9100 Access Points are suitable for all scenarios. High density areas and production areas. Maybe some older hardware or some AGVs might have issue with the connection
