Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Catalyst 9200 Series Switches

We are a Service Integrator company in Sri Lanka and we have implemented Cisco Catalyst 9200 Series Switches within lots of our customer environments. Mostly customers use this product to connect their client and intermediary devices, such as laptops, IP phones, and wireless access points. Customers like the reliability of the product and the support given by Cisco.
  • Support for SD-Access architecture with Cisco Catalyst 9200 Series Switches
  • Reliable switch for critical environments with POE support
  • Easy for O&M with IOS XE and the wider community
  • Would like to see the console port in the front face of the switch
  • LED indicators can be improved to provide more details
  • Console access over built-in Bluetooth without additional hardware
  • Currently, I think some businesses are looking away from Cisco because they think Cisco products are more expensive.
  • In my experience, some customers are not happy as they have to purchase higher-grade licenses to get granular visibility and it costs more for their businesses.
We have not seen any organization in Sri Lanka using the full potential of these Cisco Catalyst 9200 Series Switches. They use it as a normal switch without getting the advantages of automation, virtualization, and analytics.
The answer is the same as to the earlier question. However as there are a lot of Cisco-certified people within organizations, they are biased toward Cisco products and normally they only have a little challenge when customizing and managing this specific product.

But if this product is used with SD-Access then the situation is different and not many people are familiar with Cisco Catalyst Center.
We are very familiar with Cisco products as well as certified to operate these devices.

Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (Cisco ACI), Cisco Catalyst Center, Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)
With the current global economic crisis, most customers' budgets have shrunk and they look for other cheaper products that do not compromise their availability but still provide good service. This product is more appropriate for environments where customers want to get the most benefits of Cisco SD/Access architecture and already have Cisco WLCs and ISE solutions.
