Large enterprises with complex networking needs benefit from the scalability, reliability, and advanced features of Cisco Catalyst Switches. The ability to support VLANs, QoS, and high port densities makes them well-suited for diverse enterprise environments. We uses Cisco Catalyst Switches on campus networks where there is a need for segmentation, PoE for IP phones and access points, and high availability. The switches' ability to support large numbers of users and devices across multiple buildings. However, if you are running a small business or have a budget constraints, Cisco Catalyst Switches might be perceived as overkill.
