In our organization, We use Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) to protect our organization from the multitude of BYOD devices trying to connect to our network with the posture assesments

Pros

  • Tags devices
  • validates devices and bucketizes these into appropriate groups

Cons

  • Trying to get connectivity we ended up using SAML to help authentication processes.
  • Difficult to do initial implementation without services
  • Once implemented works relatively easily with the correct posture assesments
