Cisco IP Phone 8800 Series
Overall Satisfaction with Cisco IP Phone 8800 Series
We are starting to use the Cisco 8800 Series phones across our organization. They provide a gigabit switch in the phone to extend gigabit network to the desktop. The majority of the phones deployed are the 8811 and 8841. We have a few 8851s deployed for those that need the added feature to use a Bluetooth headset.
Pros
- Bright clear display.
- Gigabit switch to desktop.
- 8851 is Bluetooth enabled.
- 8861 is both Bluetooth and WiFi enabled.
Cons
- No cons at this time.
- Increased productivity by extending gigabit to the desktop.
- Less expensive than previous models.
- Less time to deploy.
We did not look at other phone sets for our CUCM phone system. After using Cisco phones for 12 years, we started upgrading to the 8800 Series because the original series of phones were no longer supported by the next software release. If we can get another 12 years out of this series they will be a good investment to enable our users to be productive.
The Cisco 8800 Series end points provide clear calls that make our meetings and interactions with others productive.
