Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Meraki MR Wireless Access Points
We have been using a variety of MR devices for our offices and Factory environments. These have covered our harsh and very open distance environments. The easy to use templates and scalability of our networks has helped us greatly. The inbuilt health monitoring in the Meraki portal has allowed us to see problems with easy, also narrowing down the issue to SSID, AP or type of authentication failing.
Pros
- Scalability and templates of SSIDs
- Monitoring and identifying problems in detail
- Rugged and long lasting design
Cons
- Templates are quite hard to apply to in combined networks. Allowing templates and networks easier to merge for what needs to be done
- WiFi heat mapping native to Meraki would greatly be appreciated
- 24/7 up time for our critical sites
- Easy to see monitoring native to Meraki dashboard
Easy to use set up and deploy. It frees up time for the team to focus on other issues and get notified when network infrastructure goes down.
Ease of deployment has help dramatically where our ISP cannot provision our sites. Due to the fast paced openings of our sites Meraki MX, MS and MRs have helped get our sites online as quick as possible.
