Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Meraki MS

Used as existing switches to provide ethernet services to various network nodes

Pros

  • Online dashboard to manage switch configuration
  • Solidly stable for everyday use
  • Easy out of box provisioning

Cons

  • Compared to Catalyst line of equipment, troubleshooting has options
  • Limited visibility to specific error messages
  • Requires TAC intervention for specific information such as uptime

Do you think Cisco Meraki MS delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Cisco Meraki MS's feature set?

Yes

Did Cisco Meraki MS live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Cisco Meraki MS go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Cisco Meraki MS again?

Yes

  • Ease of use and configuration
  • Cloud backups of configuration
  • Ease of assigning management to others
Easy to assign administrator privileges
Easy to configure for lessor experienced engineers
Similarly to the switches configuration requires little knowledge and assistance
Easy to configure site-to-site tunnels
Switches have functionality that can address 90% of network requirements is is still limited. I'm sure these features will be added at a later date.
Meraki MS does not have the full feature set of Catalyst switches, however, the ease of deployment and implementation in less stringent environments makes them a great option
Microsoft Office 2016 (discontinued)
Ease of management for those less versed with regular CLI configurations.
