Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Meraki MV

We have deployed over 25 cameras between our offices , indoor & outside. Main reason to deploy these was to replace legacy DVR and NVR based system . We felt cloud camera was ready and a much better investment since other technologies were obsolete too quick and having acces to that online dashboard made it that much more compelling
  • Easy to maintain
  • Powerful integrations and features set
  • MV sense
  • Pricepoint
  • Multi sensors options
  • More powerful lens (but theyre already good at 4mp)

Do you think Cisco Meraki MV delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Cisco Meraki MV's feature set?

Yes

Did Cisco Meraki MV live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Cisco Meraki MV go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Cisco Meraki MV again?

Yes

  • Cloud updates will ensure to stay up to date with new features
  • Lifespan of product should be longer than average => better ROI
  • Once deployed, maintenance is affordable
As with every Meraki product and solution, simplicity is at the forefront of it all! Once hooked up to the network, setting up the system was a breeze. Management was able to optimize setting for different sites and location in just a few hours. The dashboard is really intuitive and the quality of the lens and cameras has already proven to be invaluable in a case of theft.
We have some Meraki MR (42 and 36) deployed in our offices, and we have multiple Cisco Meraki MV 22 in the same environment. We have used Meraki beacon & bluetooth technology to keep track of traffic for our guests between the our common area of the building and the admin setion using some visitors passes.
Once youve deployed a model, say MV22 in a typical environment, adding another one is a true piece of cake. If you add say MV72 outside and you wish to monitor new elements , ie. Perimeter breach, then it requires a bit more work, but overall it's fair to say that scaling is easy to do.
While we havent tried other Cloud based camera and surveillance system, we feel that Cisco Meraki MV has offered us a true quality experience with their camera lineup ( second generation) - including the MV32 Fisheye, but mostly with their analytical features (location analytics) and wealth of integration thru third party solutions - mostly used for by our clients in the retail environment.
The Cisco Meraki MV Cameras work well for surveillance and managing traffic. It also embeds very well with the other Meraki component and offers great management options, although some features are not necessarily built in and require a third party software. However it does offer an amazing Cloud based solution for all sizes of shops. Especially in retail with add-ons.
