Cisco Meraki SD-WAN is implemented throughout our organization for site-to-site connectivity. Cisco Meraki SD-WAN addresses connectivity issues, provides high availability connectivity between our locations, and provides real-time diagnostics and troubleshooting. Cisco Meraki SD-WAN has changed the way our network functions and provided a cost-effective solution when compared with traditional MPLS or VPN solutions.
Pros
- Automated secured tunnel creation
- Single pane of glass management for all sites
- Simple load balancing
Cons
- Settings around physical links can be a bit too basic
- Single arm concentrator MX behind an edge MX does not have flow control for multiple WAN links
- More reporting ability in the interface around WAN link performance and diagnostics

Compared to traditional MPLS and/or VPN solutions, Cisco Meraki SD-WAN has provided us the ability to use cost effective communications links to operate our national business and dynamically change the technologies used. Cisco Meraki SD-WAN has made an impact on the connectivity methods used and is a platform that is simple to administer.
- Cisco Umbrella, Cisco Secure Endpoint and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)
Providing added security to a simple network platform has given us the ability to strengthen our security posture on an integrated platform. It would be nice if these products could have a better single pane of glass to simplify integration and management. Adding ISE has also enabled us to have better control over what is connected to our environment.
