Cisco Routers provide us with reliable connectivity between or MSOs and cell sites. While there are other equipment providers who work in the same space, using Cisco routers allows us to leverage industry standard tools and a wide range of pre-trained engineers.

Absolutely. Not only within Cisco's own product line, but comparability across the industry as a whole.

In the use case I've described we do not take advantage of Cisco threat detection.

As I said previously, Cisco routers provide a reliable and stable platform. I find the Cisco provides a higher uptime when compared to competitors.
