Cisco Routers are used around the whole organization for different purposes. They enable us to make the connectivity between different domains, and with different customers, Cisco Routers specifically enable connectivity between different networks, cloud, and on-prem networks, enterprise networks, Service Provider Networks, etc. With Cisco Routers we are able to transfer the data from one place to another, they help keep the data in separated tenants for different customers. With Cisco Routers we are able to expand our enterprise network around the globe.

- Cisco Routers helped running the business critical traffic between different networks.
- Cisco Router helped keep the PROD and DEV environment separate on the same device.

Compatibility with different Cisco networking equipment is also a key factor when selecting the Cisco Routers, however, it is not a MUST HAVE. Cisco Routers are compatible with a lot of other vendors such as Juniper, Arista, Aruba, Extreme Networks, Palo Alto Networks, etc. Cisco Routers also can send the probe to different monitoring tools such as LibreNMS, LogicMonitor, and Grafana. So, Cisco Routers are almost capable of connecting with any networking vendor, there is no limitation as such.
Cisco can help secure the network, however alone they are not capable to do it as such and we need to have the firewall device or any SASE technology to secure the perimeter. What Cisco Routers can do, they can connect with Security devices or vendors to Secure the organizations. Cisco Firewall such as ASA Firewall is capable of having the features such as threat protection and Securing the Parameter. But Cisco Routers can be connected to any Security Vendor Equipment or cloud to secure the enterprise network.
Cisco Routers help give access to applications and data using different routing protocols or static routing and keeping the different networks separate. Cisco routers are very competitive and up to date compared to other routers. Cisco routers are able to connect with Internet Service Provider (ISP) using the default route or BGP, they help maintain the redundant network to provide better access to data and applications.

Cisco has been the top vendor while selecting the router, they are always on the list. Cisco has been very up-to-date with current market trends and technology. Cisco has better material available over the Internet, so Cisco has better competency compared with any other vendor, which really helped in selecting the Cisco Routers, as they have a lot of knowledge resources available. Cisco certifications are also one of the great factors when making the router selection. Cisco is continuously working on the updates and technologies to have their routers up to speed. Cisco support is way better than any other networking vendor.
