Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Webex Board Series

We have a lot of Webex collaboration devices across our different offices. In one of our office, we have a Webex Board 55 for collaboration purposes. It is really useful for our brainstorming sessions, but we also use it for simple videoconferencing purpose as well. As a Cisco partner, we also sold those boards for some customers.

Pros

  • Whiteboarding features.
  • AI features : active speaker, best overview, Webex Assistant, etc...
  • High quality audio/video.
  • Ease of use.

Cons

  • Really expensive hardware.
  • Impossible to join a Zoom meeting (without Zoom Connector from Zoom host).
  • Hard to say...! To be honest, this a toy for big kids!
  • Price is high, so you must have collaboration needs, not only meetings needs to pay for that plus value.
At the moment we bought our Webex Board, there wasn't any real comparable on the market. I think that Microsoft now has a product as well. I honestly don't know it at all. And as all our infrastructure is on Cisco and our collaboration products are on Webex, it doesn't make any sense to use something else.
The Webex board is really easy to deploy and manage. But we already had to contact Webex support following an update of the device. Everything was great and went smoothly! We only have basic support for the Webex board and the case has been handled quickly anyway (a couple hours only).
This product is REALLY easy to use! Just like any other Cisco Webex products anyway! Everything is really intuitive, even at the first use of the board. You don't even need a IT team to deploy the device as it can be simply registered to the cloud. Once registered, it is already ready to use!

The Cisco Webex board is designed not only for audio/video meetings with sharing needs, but to make collaboration meetings impeccable. Mixed with Webex Meetings and/or Webex App (formerly Webex Teams), you'll get the ultimate collaboration experience. You can keep tracking of all docs/whiteboards you worked on and share it easily across the team.
Unfortunately, it is a high end product, so may not fit in all budgets.

Cisco Webex Experience

The ease of use of this product is amazing. Anyone in our organization can enter the conference room and understand how to use it by themself in a couple minutes. A lot better than other generic conference room systems where you have to manage a TV, a camera, a mic, even a computer sometimes.
We combined it with our calling solution (on prem Cisco Unified Call Manager). And maybe move this soon to Webex Calling. Obviously, we use the Webex board for our meetings needs as well (Webex Meetings of course). As Cisco has recently bring all collab features into one single app (Webex app), pretty much any collab needs we'll be easy to manage onto the Webex Board itself.
When chosing Cisco as vendor, you know you are covered with security features. Security is the core business of Cisco. In contrary of other solution, security is built-in from the roots in all Cisco collaboration solutions with end-to-end encryption. Then, it's not necessary to look for 3rd party solution for additionnal security.
