Overall Satisfaction with Cloudian HyperStore

We use HyperStore respectively with Amazon S3 storage in both Hybrid and Public Cloud solutions. S3 is used for backup/archiving of files coming from both external Storage and Servers. Because data growth can be quite a bit at times, it allows us to scale up or down based on the need.

  • Reliability, Scale and Cost
At the end of the day, it's about return on investment with products, ease of use in the environment, support of the product. Many of these products are very good and do exactly what they say they can do, but in today's times, companies are very strict with budgetary dollars and want the most bang for the buck. HyperStore was proven thru demonstrations that it was a cohesive fit, but again it comes down to cost.

Yes

Are you happy with Cloudian HyperStore's feature set?

Yes

Did Cloudian HyperStore live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Cloudian HyperStore go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Cloudian HyperStore again?

Yes

I think the strong suite here is backup and recovery of data, very fast recovery times which are essential in any environment.

Smaller companies who have limited budget and may not reap the tangible benefits due to smaller IT departments. Learning curve is required and with a small staff, many companies do not have the luxury of having to learn a more complex product.
