Overall Satisfaction with CMiC Construction Platform

Being used across the whole organization. Project budget tracking, compliance tracking, financials.
  • The import function for invoices is the only function that saves me time in CMiC.
  • The entire user interface needs to be overhauled. Why do I have to click in five different screens to get one invoice completed? e.g. one screen to choose bill type, another screen to update contracts, another screen to update employees billing rates, another screen to finally create bill.
  • Time tracking for employees. You offer a space for employees to write down their daily tasks but there is no way to export that data after the fact. Why?
  • The manipulation of invoices after they have been posted is impossible. Let the user make manual adjustments/revisions to invoices more easily. This is too cumbersome.
  • We have more accurate forecasting by our project managers.
  • I have zero confidence creating invoices in CMiC because of the manual manipulation it needs.
  • We use invoice imaging for our project managers which eliminates use of email.
I've never been fully satisfied with a support case from CMiC. The support staff feels more like software engineers than actual customer service advocates.

If our company was any bigger I do not think it would be able to support us. I can personally say if we had more projects needing to be billed I would not be able to support it simply because the CMiC billing software it too cumbersome and slow.
CMiC is the worst user interface experience I've ever had experiencing any software. I have been using it for three years and still click on incorrect drop downs because they are so poorly put together. I suggest you put more first-time users in front of the software and see how confused they are by it.
