Overall Satisfaction with CMiC Construction Platform
CMiC is a great tool for managing documents between your organization as well as other trade partners. It strives to be a technology that allows all information needed for a well-organized project to operate and function in one place. At our organization, we use it to control all functions from a document control aspect down to payment operations.

CMiC is not there yet in terms of usability when compared to PlanGrid. I have attended the conferences and have seen the plans to improve usability and look forward to these changes. Unfortunately, until it is at this point it does not compete in regards to construction plan navigation. Prolog is the Stone Age, CMiC is the Nuclear Age.
It is not my department that works with CMiC support. In our organization, we give our concerns to our CMiC manager who relays them to our CMiC rep.

Would you buy CMiC Construction Platform again?
Before I used this system it was always a battle trying to locate project information. Typically is was spread out among numerous platforms (share drives, PlanGrid, Submittal Exchange, Prolog, etc.). Now it is conveniently all located in one location. When the field has issues it can easily be communicated to the office as all they need to do is reference an issue number. Just one example how it has improved workflow.
As I've stated previously, it makes a more unified approach to the construction process. It eliminates the confusion of "where does this information go?" Now we all know, take it to CMiC! If a module doesn't exist for what we need, fortunately CMiC is helpful in getting our needs met.
It's a great platform to keep all documents in one place so that all members of the team can access it. With all the information in one place, it does a great job of collecting the information and organizing it for presentations and analytics between our organization and our clients.
