Overall Satisfaction with Concur Travel and Expense

This corporate finance software-as-a-service application allows you to keep track of your spending in a timely and structured manner, as well as removing the hassle factor if you have a large amount of money to claim back. We also use it to book corporate travel, linking all of the expenses together for a trip which can make it much easier for report and approval purposes.
  • Allows you to get rid of manual expense reporting that is not only time-consuming but tedious.
  • The service also allows you to automatically populate expense reports by pulling in electronic receipts from common business charge points such as airlines, hotels, and restaurant and miscellaneous travel costs such as taxis, buses, and trains.
  • SAP also underlines the secure aspect of Concur, which is reassuring if you’re dealing with lots of employee and their associated company credit cards.
  • When you do have to enter information, it is PAINFUL. The interface looks old and messy.
  • Too much information in one visual that you might get lost when selecting the proper option.
  • Adding images and receipts is an unnecessarily difficult process due to bad thumbnails and image viewing.
  • It's not easy to figure up how much Concur will cost you right away. In fact, given how well the rest of the setup appears to perform, we consider not being able to determine a rough costing for the service to be a step backward.
  • If you go this route, the Concur workspace does include a great feature for calculating the return on investment. Even with the figures set to their default values, it was evident that Concur has the ability to save company money.
  • I would have to spend hours completing my expense reports...Trying to match up expenses to credit card charges for the amount of traveling I did was such a huge pain.
Most alternatives offer a free trial with no credit card required, so you can try before you buy. They also have better auditing, free customizable dashboards and reports, and Itinerary changes & support. Concur does require some amount of ramp-up time to understand the system and how it works, and the layout compared to others is very antiquated for sure.
Overall, if you have a large company with a lot of people, SAP's Concur is an amazing expense management system. The bundle is now more user-friendly than ever, with a lot of appeal for anyone who wants to take advantage of the neat and streamlined software. There's also strong integration with other apps, which may be found in Concur's App Center.
If you're a company employee, getting to know Concur is simple and straightforward. Indeed, thanks to a no-frills design that can be seen via a traditional web browser or via the companion app, the learning curve is very stress-free. The features and functionalities have been kept as basic as possible, so using it while on the road is only a slight diversion. The built-in Cost Assistant, which operates like a wizard and walks you through the tasks required in submitting expense claims in Concur, makes getting started even easier. Using the integrated upload feature for digitized invoices, tickets, and other documents, getting those crucial receipts into the system is a breeze. As soon as these are in place.
